About the project (provided by the applicant) The project envisions a church complex for 300 people, located on a picturesque island near Vyborg. The main church, designed in the traditional Northern Russian style with elements of Karelian architecture, rises prominently above the island, forming an architectural landmark. A pier is provided for convenient visitor access.
The complex includes: a church with a bell tower, a hotel with a dining area, a standalone café with a prosphora baking area, a clergy house with an exhibition hall, and a lecture building. The ensemble harmoniously integrates with the natural landscape, combining spiritual, cultural, and social functions. The project also includes pilgrimage infrastructure, educational programs, and tourist appeal. Materials such as natural wood and stone emphasize a connection to regional traditions.
