About the project (provided by the applicant) The location on the banks of the Yenisei River, with panoramic views of the river and the Sayan Mountains, was a primary consideration in the design of this modernist-style house. All main rooms with panoramic glazing and outdoor areas offer breathtaking views.
Concrete blocks with circular openings serve both decorative and practical functions: they create playful shadows on the façade and interior while protecting the large stairwell glazing from direct sunlight, eliminating the need for additional elements like curtains. The interior continues the architectural motifs and aligns with the house’s aesthetic: unique decorative blocks echoing the façade pattern are used, and walls are adorned with bas-reliefs reflecting the connection to nature and the landscape visible through the windows. In the female bedroom, the walls feature botanical bas-reliefs filled with meadow plants; in the male bedroom, there is a volumetric interpretation of works by a Krasnoyarsk artist, inspired by the Yenisei River.
