Category: Best Project of Residential or Mixed-Use Estate
About the project (provided by the applicant): The project features two residential blocks, each consisting of two buildings with underground parking. The building heights gradually decrease toward the adjacent birch grove. The facades are finished with bricks, chosen for its aesthetic aging and tactile appeal. A barrier-free pedestrian network seamlessly connects the blocks and the courtyards, which are entirely car-free.
Inspired by the nearby birch grove, the landscaping concept embraces the idea of a "Russian garden." Birch trees serve as the main feature, with decorative fruit trees such as rowan, viburnum, and bird cherry enhancing the courtyards. Closer to the grove, natural materials dominate the paving and street furniture, while moving toward the city, stone paving and metal furniture take over. The project offers a variety of living spaces, ranging from studios to two-level apartments with private entrances and terraces, creating a "house within a house" experience.
