About the project
The proposal carried out for the reconversion and enhancement of the Department Stores is based on the exercise of understanding the differences between the moment in which these had their moment of splendor and contemporaneity. The difference between the programs that it housed and today requires. The relationship between the different parts of it and of these with the site in which it is located.
This approach is conceived as a reinterpretation of what its architecture was and a readjustment of it for the new program of needs, transforming this space into a meeting place and a regional reference. A backdrop for the promotion of citizen links and education, recovering its historical and symbolic character.
This is how we developed a building whose ground floor is conceived as an expansion of the city's public space, an extension of Plaza 25 de Mayo.
