Russian Design District is the first ever designer residential cluster in Russia with extensive sport, educational, and entertainment amenities. Nine avatar buildings were designed by architects in collaboration with Russian celebrities from different spheres — Valentin Yudashkin, Vladimir Pirozhkov, Igor Chapurin, and Vika Gazinskaya (designers); Vladimir Mashkov and Valery Gergiev (cultural professionals), and Irina Viner-Usmanova (sport). The architectural pinnacle of the place and the new landmark of New Moscow is Black Crystal Multifunctional Complex with its futuristic obsidian-black dome.
