Project Apartment of architects Andrey and Ekaterina Zyryn
Best Implemented Apartment / Private House Interior Design Project
About the project (provided by the applicant) An architectural interior is a holistic volumetric composition. Every line within the space is subordinated to composition, and every composition serves a function. We worked with the form of the original space, adapting and enhancing it for our needs. A ceiling height of 4 meters allowed us to create a two-level interior. The compact kitchen-living area led to the solution of integrating the staircase into the wall, saving precious space. The principle of alignment along axes helped establish harmony within the spatial composition and position details in their proper places.
The use of modular elements defined the appearance of the kitchen—its tiled wall, shelving, cabinets, and part of the décor. Repetition of modules allowed us to fill the interior with objects that are visually connected through similar forms.
Space itself is a luxury. Air and openness are of great value to us. We found a balance that preserved the sense of emptiness while ensuring the interior remains functional.
